Workshop notes

It is morning, with a dry anxiety that blocks me. I enter the studio, the coffee still smoking behind me, a small smell of pigment, bitumen and linseed oil wafting lightly up to my ears. We work here. This factory sweat tires the shutters, the day has difficulty in entering, but the persistent light rubs all the same the stained bundle of colors which serves me to sponge all the aborted paintings.

I stand there in front of the work in progress. The wall merges with the flowing lines: how all the canvases overflow!

I look, using my fingers as glasses, at a detail, a sentence in comet, I scratch a blister of color, I blur with the index finger the little thickness of the line. All speed of the hands on the canvas, digressions, which circulate, contradict each other, combine and signal the other side of things.
